The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

The way we bring the FIRST® mission into our own robotics team is by teaching each other new skills, working closely on issues, and bringing our own uniqueness to the team. It’s important for us to get more people – both young and old – excited in science, technology, engineering and math, and what better way to do that than building robots!
